Mini series – Pre-flight preparation

In this mini series, I demonstrate some of the steps I follow, when preparing for a light general aviation flight in the UK.

There are 5 videos in all, and they cover the processes of planning the route, checking notams, interpreting weather reports, and the series ends with me conducting the flight.

Part 1: Choosing the route

Part 2: Creating the plog

Part 3: Choosing frequencies, weight & balance, performance, & fuel calculations

Part 4: Notams, airspace restrictions, airfield information & weather

Part 5: The flight from Biggin Hill to Sherburn in Elmet

Here are some links referred to in the videos.

Notams, airspace restrictions, aerodrome information, the AIP.
